Tonight's date night with the kids started out at The Old Spaghetti Factory on the Willamette River. It's become a tradition each year to dine there before going to see the lights on the Riverplace Marina, the Tree Downtown and Santa at Meier and Frank, now Macy's.For so many years we visited the Winter Wonderland on the 8th floor of Meier and Frank. Macy's bought it and changed the scenes and placement of Santa-land. It's still fun to see, but it broke my heart knowing Brody wouldn't get to ride the monorail circling the room, looking down at Santa.
Kenna asked Santa for Sweet Streets and a doll.....Griffin wants a Wii.
The weather was perfect....and the tree is beautiful and huge as always.
Camdyn wants her retainer out and the same toys as Kenna.
Todd and I got what we wanted.....for him to get Christmas day off!One year we took a family Christmas picture here with our umbrella's and Grandma wondered who that man was standing with our family :>
Macy's has a monorail memorial setting out for the kids to sit in.....not quite the same.
Brody, who doesn't know any different, couldn't be peeled out of it! He played there for about 10 minutes.
What a fun date night. We'll have similar traditions with our kids but it won't be the same since they weren't MY childhood traditions. Great. Now I'm craving OSF. Hooray Todd gets the day off. Sad that Cami wants her retainer out. She looks really pretty in that picture.
I have 4 beautiful, healthy children. Griffin, Camdyn, Kennedy and Brody. I've had four hard pregnancies....but I'm all done! Hooray! Todd and I have been married for 14 years. His support, love and friendship fulfills everything I could have ever wanted out of a marriage. He is my confidant and closest friend...In fact I'd rather spend time with Todd or the kids than with anyone else. Todd has the best job in the world, a firefighter.....ok it's dangerous, but sexy at the same time! Plus he has an unbeatable schedule that allows for tons of family time.
I love to stay up late, cleaning, scrap-booking, reading, blogging....then wake up at 5:30 and run for a few hours.
I work very part time for an Orthodontist and it's SO much fun! I also teach spin and wieght training classes at a local gym. I love to run marathons, completed my first Ironman in 2005 and find half ironmans much easier to squeeze into my schedule.
My most fullfilling role as a mother is knowing that I am doing all I can to make lasting memories in the lives of my husband and children.

I remember my oldest ones riding that train when they were little. It was all so magical. Portland looks great, and so do you guys. Merry Christmas!
What a fun tradition! And I'm so glad Todd gets Christmas off. AND, fun that the Pete's are coming!
