Pet Peeves and Good Impressions

I was chatting with some friends about pet peeves and they were cracking up at a few of mine. It got me thinking of things that bug me as well as things that impress me. My family will know most of these about me already......Here's a few: Actually this feels familiar becasue I remember aunt Lee wondering what I was referring to as "fuzzy teeth".

PEEVES

*People who let clutter rule thier lives. Throw it out. I don't understand what's so hard about that.
*The crusty, spilled in, smelly fridge. That's a given.
*Kids who take huge portions at gathering and parents who don't monitor it.
*Friends who read my blog on a regular basis and never leave a comment...or even more weird is to read the comments, make a comment to me about a comment someone left me and still not leave their own.
*Having the TV on. Or at least having it on when no one is watching it, or when people are trying to talk to one another. Turn it off!!!
*Fuzzy teeth (plaque)

Impressed By:
*Scriptorians.
*Someone who has mastered a musical instrument.
*Upbeat positive people who don't compare themselves to others.
* Perfect pearly white straight teeth.
*Anyone who can sew.
*People who don't eat goodies....and I know a few! That's actually crazy to me!

Not that my fridge was ever a total disaster, but you definitely have motivated me to clean it out with more frequency! Whenever I see those crusty milk things, I think of you (in a good way, of course). Your new house looks sweet, by the way.

That was fun. Lindsey and I did a post like that forever ago. I think I'm guilty of a few of your peeves. And I don't know that I qualify for any of the things you're impressed by.

I will have you know that I am doing a much better job at keeping my fridge clean because of you! Thanks for the motivation. :)

Don't worry, I'm not going to go snooping/judging where people keep their leftovers and milk...but glad I am motivating. My sister Jamie just happens to be a scriptorian AND sews!

Ok I just read everyone's comment but I am leaving one too. I also have issues with people who cant get rid of stuff because I am one of those people that has a place for everything or I get rid of it...and the one about kids at church functions - teach your kids manners so your kids dont act like they never get out of the house. I know I have others but I have to think about it.

I totally agree with you on the sewing thing and I also think quilters are amazing! I have to say I am always a little nervous when you're here about my fridge!:) I am trying though.

Funny list. I agree with most of it. I just did a blog post, about being "fat" Thanks for your comments. I wrote it specifically for one friend in mind and I am not doing a new blog post until she leaves a comment or I at least know she read it.

you are funny!!! i sometimes read blog posts and don't leave comments...is that bad? i think that the people who are telling you that they don't eat goodies are lying, i mean, how can you NOT eat goodies, their lives must suck!! i am also impressed with scriptorians..i tell people that if i read my scriptures like i read my people magazines, i would be a master scriptorian!!

Interesting post. It's always good to learn a little more about your friends. PS...I am commenting so you don't get "peeved" at me. How do you know people don't comment???

I have a site meter on my blog that shows me who's on.

I know you are the queen of getting rid of stuff. Lucky for me I have benefited from that!!!!! :)

As for the fridge, I have to admit I often think of you when I see the milk crustys.. I think, Stacey would not approve! Don't worry though, I'm USUALLY pretty good about keeping them out! hahah

K, so it looks like I have to leave a comment now. :) I love how everyone is confessing their dirty fridge stories to you! You crack me up. P.S. I think this post might fall into the peeved category.

Yep, I always think of you, too when my fridge gets dirty ;) (That and my silverwear drawer!;)

I agree with everyone of your bugs. But this year, I'm trying not to be so bugged by people and things, so I can't really say that those things bug me anymore. . . (but you know they do) I know several families where their TV is on ALL the time. It's such a waste. Thanks for sharing. Love the pearly whites too. Wish I had them better myself.

You are so funny. I am sure my teeth, and those of my child who had 13 cavities, would not pass muster!

What a fun list Stacey! I agree on almost all of them, both the peeves and the good things. Keep having opinions!

Too funny, everyone of those are the same as my bugs & impressions too! I have to add dirty fingernails and chewing noises to the pet peeves list!!

Okay- so I just have to say that I am the odd ball out just because the last thing i care about is how my fridge looks, as long as there is food in it I am golden which makes me appreciate the milk crustys, infact I think I will see how high they can accumulate until someone else cleans them out :)

Thanks for your comment on my blog! I have spent the last HOUR reading yours!!! Since I have no time to get out and have girlfriends, or a social life, I decided to get to know you through the computer... and you are one AMAZING woman! So positive, full of life, fun, and gifted... not to mention toned and in shape (my new goal for the year...).
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I say LOVE) your new house... a craftsman house is also my dream home, although I doubt I will have such luck and the romantic story of finding the perfect home as you do... hey, when you are ready to move I will take it next :)...
You have a fun family and a cute blog. when my kids get older (and if I am still around) I hope to get to know you better :)
